My journey – I, Pat Evert, came to Christ in 1972. I was in a legalistic Plymouth brethren type group for 18 years, then left because it was too demanding on my physical health. Here I received my lovely wife.
We then were committed to an Evangelical Free church for 24 years. I and my family left due to a disagreement on how we should love those that are gay.
We then were involved in a very loving and spiritual third-way church for a little over two years, and we had to move on because my wife and I began to believe contrary to the mainstream Christian essentials of the faith. In our lives God has been calling us to more and more inclusivity and less legalism. see more…
